- Organise expert consultations/workshops on the themes allied to forest assessment
- Bring out policy advocacy papers/ technical information series
- Maintain a website for sharing information
- Initiate a journal (JFFAA)
- Undertake consultancy assignments for forest assessment, monitoring and allied themes including preparation of management plans and impact assessment
- Work for TOF assessment and propmotion
- Undertake capacity building programmes on forest assessment, forest carbon assessment, monitoring and allied themes
- Organise workshops on relevant themes including an annual workshop
- Create training material on forest assessment and monitoring
- Develop methodologies for forest ecosystem assessment
- Design payment for ecosystem services (PES) models suited to different regions and socio-economic settings
- Create a Field Action Group (FAG) for
- Undertaking forest inventory works including forest carbon assessment
- Undertaking TOF Assessment
- Carrying out impact assessment studies
- Undertaking Working/Management Plan preparation activities
