• Strengthen scientific forest assessment including Forest Carbon Assessment in the country
• Work for mainstreaming of scientific forest assessment and analysis based policy and decision making in forestry sector of the country
• Develop simplified, robust and cost-effective methodologies for Strengthen scientific forest assessment including Forest Carbon Assessment in the country

• Create awareness and build capacity on Forest Assessment
• Work for forest ecosystem services assessment and models/schemes of performance-based incentives for ecosystem enhancement
• Policy advocacy for strengthening ecosystem approach to sustainable forest management
• Undertake research and extension activities in pursuit of the above objectivesassessment and monitoring
